Q.How long is the result going to last?
A.
During MACS lifting surgery, the skin is peeled off and the sagging fascia layer (SMAS layer), which is the root cause of face sagging is pulled up and fixed so that soft tissues surrounding skin and fat are attached then fixed together.
Moreover, elastic skin and facial shape can be maintained semi-permanently by removing the remaining stretched skin when suturing the incision.
HERSHE is fixing the tissue once more with a self-developed special thread Epiticon® to ensure that the lifting effect settles well from the beginning.
Q.Will it make a lot of scars?
A.
A.The scar is small compared to Full Face Lifting that have a wide range of incisions because MACS lifting just does a necessary incision that is made along the hairline only.
If there are no keloid or hypertrophic scars, the scar in front of the ear will be red and hard for around two to three weeks then slowly recover and
begin to fade for three to six months.
This might vary depending on the body structure. HERSHE basically provides HEALITE treatment to help recover scars and
regenerate tissues. Moreover, if you are concerned about the scares, it can be alleviated through a scar only treatment program that will use a laser.
Q.Are there any side effects?
A.
There is a ligament that maintains the face when you peel off the skin and any damage on this ligament can cause side effects such as facial paralysis.
In addition, if the surrounding nerves are injured in the process of pulling the fascia layer (SMAS layer), they can leave unexpected after effects as well.
Therefore, it is important to plan surgery in consultation with medical staff with extensive anatomical knowledge and lifting experience from pre-surgery counseling.
And to apply a safer surgical method of pulling the fascia layer.
In HERSHE, only the lifting specialized medical team with more than 30 years of surgical experience are performing the surgery.
Q.Would it hurt a lot?
A.
There are individual differences depending on each patient’s condition, but the surgery processed under Sedation means that there is almost no pain that can be felt and the post surgery pain will begin to decrease three days after.
Pain after surgery is normal, but if in 3 days after surgery you suddenly have a fever along with a pain that gets worse everyday, you should immediately visit the hospital. There may be discomfort that can be felt such as stretched face or numbness, but this is a temporary phenomenon that gradually will get eased over time.
Q.When can I return to my daily life?
A.
There are individual differences depending on each patient’s condition, but usually it takes one to two weeks to get to daily life without much difficulty.
The thread will be removed 7 to 10 days after the surgery but it is possible to go to the sauna in about 1 month after depending on the progress. Excessive exercise such as running increases blood pressure and it should be avoided because it can make the face more swollen.
It is recommended to be careful when lifting up
heavy objects. It is recommended to be especially careful when you lift up heavy objects, excessive strain on your face, or work with your head down for a long time. Please refer to the post-surgery precautions form.
Q.Is there any other surgery that is good to be paired with MACS Lifting?
A.
There is a surgery that we recommend to maximize anti-aging effects.
Typically, it is recommended to undergo self-fat transplantation to improve vertically deep marionette wrinkles around the mouth, upper blepharoplasty surgery, removal or relocation of swollen fat under the eyes, and facial liposuction surgery in areas with excessive fat.
HERSHE does not recommend excessive surgery, but consults thoroughly to determine the direction of surgery together.
