  • Who is a Candidate for Mini SMAS Lift?
  • HERSHE Signature Mini SMAS Lift primarily targets sagging in the temple, cheek, and jawline, similar to conventional thread lifting.

However, this advanced procedure reaches the SMAS layer and secures it firmly to the temporal fascia, offering more comprehensive and lasting results.

Ideal for individuals hesitant about more extensive surgical facelifts, this technique is particularly effective for those experiencing mild to medium signs of aging. It is also a great option for individuals who have undergone bone reduction surgery as part of facial contouring procedures and are dealing with post-surgery skin sagging. In both cases, the Mini SMAS Lift offers strong, reliable fixation for optimal lifting and rejuvenation.
  • 미니윤곽
    Sagging in the Mid-Lower Face
The Mini SMAS Lift is highly effective in addressing sagging in the cheeks, jawline, and other related areas of the mid-lower face.
This technique not only lifts but can also restore volume, making it an excellent solution for individuals with flat or hollow cheeks.
  • 미니윤곽
    Sagging After Facial Contouring
Facial sagging can occur if the support ligaments are damaged or detached during facial contouring.
The double fixation properties of the Mini SMAS Lift provide firm support to the sagging facial structures while improving the undefined contours caused by skin sagging.
  • 미니윤곽
    Double Chin (Submental Fat)
By employing the dual fixation technique in the Mini SMAS Lift, longer-lasting results can be achieved in the treatment of a double chin or submental fat.

  • Q.What Is Epiticon® Threads?

  • A. Epiticon® Threads are patented, dissolvable threads developed by our head surgeon, Dr. Jung Young Choon. These advanced threads feature a unique double-lock design, ensuring enhanced security and stability during the lifting process. Specifically designed for superior lifting effects, they are highly effective in areas with heavier tissue, offering exceptional strength, tensile force, and fixation. Their innovative structure enables noticeable facial lifting with fewer threads, delivering natural and long-lasting results. This cutting-edge solution is ideal for non-surgical facial rejuvenation, providing impressive results with minimal downtime.

  • Q.What Areas Are Treated With The Thread Lift Procedure?

  • A. We target skin sagging and wrinkles across the entire face. Epiticon® threads can be used to anchor firm tissues, such as the temporal fascia, or to reposition tissues from sagging areas to those with insufficient volume, thanks to the multi-unit structure of the threads, which are inserted into the SMAS layer of the skin. This allows us to provide individualized lifting treatments to improve various sagging and wrinkle concerns throughout the face.

  • Q.How Long Does It Take To See The Effects Of The Lifting?

  • A. The thread lift procedure is performed along the contours of each area, allowing us to adjust the position of facial tissues as needed. This enables us to improve most sagging tissues and wrinkles. However, since aging symptoms have complex causes, additional procedures, such as autologous fat grafting or facial liposuction, may be more effective when combined to enhance overall anti-aging results.

  • Q.How Many Threads Are Used During The Procedure?

  • A. The number of threads used is determined based on the diagnosis. For a full face lift, we generally use more than 20 to 30 threads. However, using more threads doesn’t necessarily guarantee better results. Too many threads may cause pain and discomfort. Therefore, at HERSHE, we use Epiticon® threads with a multi-unit structure, which is advantageous for pulling and fixation, ensuring an efficient lifting procedure.

  • Q.How Long Do The Results Last?

  • A. The Epiticon® thread lift procedure has both semi-permanent and dissolvable characteristics. The dissolvable threads usually dissolve within 1 to 1.5 years. The longevity of the effect can be extended with proper self-care after the procedure. Additionally, combining the lifting procedure with other anti-aging treatments, such as autologous fat grafting or facial liposuction, can help maintain the anti-aging effects for a longer period.

  • Q.Will There Be Noticeable Scars?

  • A. The procedure involves minimal incisions, and the insertion points for the threads may leave needle marks on the treated areas. These marks will fade over time and become less noticeable. However, if scarring remains a concern, laser treatments or other scar management programs can be helpful.

  • Q.What Precautions Should Be Taken After The Surgery?

  • A. Prior to the surgery, the clinic will provide you with explanations, consent forms, and pre-surgery instructions. After the surgery, the clinic will provide post-surgery instructions as well as prescribed medication. Some important post-surgery instructions include abstaining from alcohol and smoking for about a month to prevent bleeding and infection. It's essential to avoid getting water on the surgical site. Additionally, refrain from chewing hard or tough foods or opening the mouth widely until fully recovered, as this can cause discomfort. After the surgery, there may be minor bleeding or hematoma formation within 1 to 3 days. Applying light pressure with clean gauze or tissue for about 3 minutes can help stop the bleeding. It's also advised to avoid positions where the head is bent forward for extended periods and to sleep with the head elevated above the heart for at least 3 to 5 days.
